How to reach us

You can get to Poiana Țapului and our guesthouse by several means of transportation — car, coach, or train.

Once you’ve checked in to one of our 24 tastefully decorated spots and admired the beautiful panoramic view from the balcony, all that’s left is to go explore the local wonders.

What attractions are nearby?

If you head toward the tall, steep cliffs and follow a forest path for about 2 km, followed by a short climb, you’ll reach the Urlătoarea Waterfall.

On the opposite side of the DN1 road, after crossing the railway, nestled among the woods, you’ll find the famous Cantacuzino Castle. Stunning and uniquely beautiful, it will fill your soul with joy and energy.

If you continue straight ahead along the DN1, you’ll reach Sinaia, home to many more attractions.

If you head back toward the center of Bușteni, you’ll have the chance to take the cable car up to the Bucegi Plateau, where you can visit Babele and the Sphinx.

You should also visit Dino Parc Râșnov, the largest dinosaur park in Southeastern Europe!

About 1 km from Dino Parc, you’ll find Valea Cetății Cave, located on the western slope of the Postăvaru Massif in the Țara Bârsei basin, at an altitude of 825 meters (main entrance). The cave, also known as Fundata Cave, is a natural wonder worth exploring.

At the foot of the Caraiman Massif, beneath the cross that shares its name, a dream has literally risen — the Caraiman Monastery in Bușteni, envisioned in the mid-1990s by Father Gherontie.
